I am very happy together
Somewhere between a wedding and a funeral, a bride crawls up her own veil and meets herself. The work moves through the space of female introspection and autonomy — between past times and present tensions. Voice, movement and object interweave into a score that neither celebrates nor mourns, but invites everyone in.

Do you love the 90s and are looking for the perfect outfit, or are you just feeling a bit nostalgic?
An ice-cream parlour. Or is it a temple? Five best friends are spooning up the patriarchy’s bittersweet banana split. Their hands are sticky. With sparkling eyes, they’re crafting their imaginary dream men. They have no inkling yet of Poseidon abusing Medusa, of Athena punishing her, or of Perseus’s sword. And when they do suspect it, they do not warn one another. And when they experience it, silence takes its place beside them. Their eyes turn inwards and turn to bone.
From this petrification, an ensemble turns on the taps of bodily experiences and listens to what gushes and hisses forth: the violence both near and far. Motifs and loops swell into a song with which they synchronise.
In this story, we do not follow the hero; we follow the monster. What must Medusa do to become a heroine herself? How can we shed our thick skin of shame and finally speak unvarnished, even whilst wearing lipstick?
