The Party

The Party is an experimental performance in a society of spectacle. A space is conceived to explore the border between fiction and reality, between presentation and representation. In this changing space of celebration, bodies are subjected to an attempt of survival. Is it possible to escape catastrophe in the blissful fever of the party? While the guests are exposed to a fluid and repetitive present, their bodies are transformed and re-signified in the collectivity.
The hard part is not organizing a party, but finding people who can actually enjoy it.
The project was developed within the framework of the Master of Arts Choreography at HZT Berlin, the Inter-University Centre for Dance Berlin, Germany as part of 777 Festival ( https://klangzeitort.de/777-2/ ).
The Party was produced by Hochschulübergreifendes Zentrum Tanz Berlin (HZT) and Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch.
